A Standard Bernedoodle is a cross between a purebred Bernese Mountain Dog and a Standard Poodle, bred for hybrid vigor, intelligence, and a gentle, affectionate temperament. At Echt K9, our Standard Bernedoodles are raised on our family farm just outside Waco, TX, where they receive daily socialization from our children and are prepared to become confident, loving companions for their new families.
Standard Bernedoodles stand above 15 inches at the shoulder and typically weigh 61 pounds or more, with males generally running 5-20 pounds heavier than females. Every puppy comes from health-tested parents and is looked over by a certified veterinarian before going home, backed by our 24-month health guarantee.

Frequently Asked Questions About Standard Bernedoodles

  1. How big does a Standard Bernedoodle get?
Standard Bernedoodles stand above 15 inches at the shoulder and generally weigh 60 pounds or more once fully grown, with size varying somewhat depending on the size of Poodle used in the cross.
  2. What's the difference between a Standard and Mini Bernedoodle?
The main difference is size. Standard Bernedoodles are crossed with a Standard Poodle and grow larger, while Mini Bernedoodles are crossed with a smaller Poodle variety and stay closer to 10-15 inches at the shoulder.
  3. How much does a Standard Bernedoodle cost at Echt K9?
Pricing varies by litter. Contact us for current Standard Bernedoodle pricing.
  4. Are Standard Bernedoodles good for apartments?
Yes. Because Standard Bernedoodles are more laid-back than Labradoodles or Goldendoodles on average, they are well suited for apartment living and can adapt well as long as they receive regular mental stimulation and companionship.
