Suggestion Letter

The following is the key points of the suggestion letter that we give to every puppy buyer -- you'll find it in the Puppy Basket:

Congratulations on your new bundle of fur. We hope you have a long time of joy and fun with your new puppy! Since this is the first time he/she will be separated from his/her siblings, he/she might have some separation anxiety and cry for a few nights. This isn’t too abnormal. I think the quicker you bond with him/her and provide for his/her social needs that will start to slow down.

The veterinarian we took him/her to for the puppy wellness check (around seven weeks old) was Cottonwood Creek Veterinarian Hospital in Waco, TX. They said that he/she was . . . We gave him/her all expected wormers (at two, four, six and eight weeks) and vaccinations (NeoPar for Parvovirus, NeoVac for distemper and adenovirus type 1 and 2 and DAPPv + L4 for distemper, adenovirus type 1 and 2, parainfluenza, parvovirus and Leptospirosis). All of this should be annotated on your “Puppy Records”. Please find a veterinarian that you trust in order to help you administer his/her remaining DAPPv + L4 booster shots (3 total) as well as his/her rabies shot at 12 weeks. Also, ask the veterinarian to accomplish a fecal to see if there are any remaining worms. If so, they can direct you how to overcome them. We recommend that you don’t socialize him/her until all of her vaccinations are effective (one month after her last one).  Lastly, remember to get him/her neutered/spayed.

Also, we have included your puppy’s microchip number on his/her contract, shot records as well as a registration card. The name of the company on the card is “AKC Reunite”.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions and / or to let us know how he/she develops socially and physically so that we can ensure our breeding program is meeting its goals. Thanks again and we wish for lots of face licking and tail wagging for you all!
